Sr Accountant

Description Senior Accountant (Contract - 6 Months) Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support a fast-paced healthcare organization on a contract basis. This role will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting payroll operations, and ensuring timely close processes. The ideal candidate brings strong ownership, advanced Excel capabilities, and hands-on experience with Workday Payroll. Requirements Key Responsibilities + Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial reporting + Perform detailed general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies + Support month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met + Manage and process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and timeliness + Execute Workday Payroll processes independently, ensuring compliance and precision + Analyze financial data using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) + Partner cross-functionally to improve accounting processes and workflows + Maintain compliance with internal controls and healthcare industry regulations Qualifications + 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably at the senior level + Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (must be able to operate independently) + Strong GL reconciliation and journal entry experience + Proven background in accounts payable + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required + Prior experience in the healthcare industry strongly preferred + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
