Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Walnut, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing payroll processes for a large workforce, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and union requirements. If you have a strong background in payroll systems and excel at detailed financial tasks, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer weekly and bi-weekly payroll operations for a workforce of over 1,500 employees, including union members.
  • Process multi-state payroll, addressing overtime calculations, supplemental wages, profit-sharing, and garnishment laws.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation regulations and tax rates while managing bonus distributions.
  • Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and other payroll systems to handle in-house payroll processing, including W-4 forms and direct staff members.
  • Prepare and post payroll entries to the general ledger, ensuring accurate reclassification when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient payroll workflows and resolve discrepancies.
  • Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as pivot tables, to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
  • Provide expertise in union and construction payroll processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Monitor time and attendance systems for accurate payroll calculations and reporting.
