Controller

Position Summary A growing government contractor is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead accounting and finance operations. This role is responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, government contract compliance, indirect rate management, proposal pricing support, and overall financial leadership. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with deep knowledge of federal contracting requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end close.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and scalable financial processes.
• Manage indirect rates, including Fringe, Overhead, and G&A, along with forecasting and provisional billing rates.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and other government contracting regulations.
• Support incurred cost submissions, government audits, and financial reviews.
• Monitor contract funding, labor utilization, revenue recognition, and project profitability.
• Support proposal development through pricing models, cost proposals, labor rate calculations, and BOE documentation.
• Oversee invoicing, collections, and revenue cycle management.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements and system enhancements.
• Partner with executive leadership, program management, and business development teams on strategic financial initiatives.
  Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Prior experience in a government contracting environment required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing indirect rates, including Fringe, Overhead, and G&A.
• Working knowledge of

FAR, DFARS, DCAA

requirements, and government contractor accounting practices.

• Experience supporting incurred cost submissions, provisional billing rates, and government audits.
• Experience with federal contract pricing, cost proposals, and BOE development.
• Familiarity with CPFF, T&M, FFP, and IDIQ contract types.
• Proficiency with ERP and financial systems.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• DoD contracting experience preferred.
