00/hour depending on experience About the Firm We are a small Virginia law firm working exclusively in homeowners association and condominium law, with a primary focus on assessment collections. We represent community associations throughout the Commonwealth in resolving delinquent accounts through a structured legal process. Our practice runs on documents — court filings, notices, correspondence, and case records — and every one of them has to be right. About the Role This is the position that keeps the paper moving. Your job is the document work at the center of a busy collections practice: printing court filings and their service copies, assembling complete filing packets, scanning incoming mail and court-stamped documents into the correct case files, and keeping every file complete, current, and exactly where it should be.
Responsibilities From day one:
Print, collate, and assemble court documents and service copies accurately and in the correct quantities Scan incoming mail, returned service, and court-stamped documents into the correct case files, correctly named and fully legible Prepare outgoing mail, including certified mail Maintain meticulous, well-organized physical and digital case files Follow firm procedures exactly and consistently What We're Looking For Exceptional attention to detail. You count pages, you double-check copy sets, and a document filed in the wrong place bothers you. A genuine work ethic. This is a volume job. Steady, reliable output matters just as much as accuracy, and the day's filings don't wait. Strong organization. You keep track of many small moving pieces without letting any of them slip. Solid basic computer skills, and comfort learning scanning software and our case management system. Discretion with confidential and sensitive information. Reliability. On time, every day. Proficiency in English (written and verbal). High school diploma or equivalent required. No legal experience necessary. We will train you. Being Straightforward About the
Work:
This work is repetitive. You will print, count, collate, scan, and file the same categories of documents many times a week, and some days the whole day is a print queue and a scanner. And doing it perfectly, at volume, is exactly the skill we are hiring for. Compensation and Details $18.00
