Key Qualifications:

Active Minnesota LPN license, in good standing Current CPR/AED certification At least 2 years of experience in pediatric, school, or home health nursing Proficiency in tracheostomy care and suctioning Familiarity with following and documenting student healthcare plans Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit Willingness to ride the school bus with the student, both mornings and afternoons Ability to provide attentive support for students with complex medical and developmental needs

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Deliver consistent, compassionate 1:1 care to a middle school student throughout the school day Monitor, manage, and document tracheostomy care, including suctioning as needed Accurately follow and log interventions per the individualized healthcare plan Maintain detailed daily records on observations and provided care Collaborate closely with health service staff, school employees, and the students family Participate in transportation by accompanying the student on the bus to and from school This position follows the academic calendar, with tentative dates from early September through early June, offering reliable weekday schedules and the chance to foster a positive impact within the school community.
