Job Description
Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) Looking for a rewarding massage therapy career in a friendly, family-owned environment where you can build a loyal clientele and continue developing your skills? Massage Express is a family-owned massage practice that has been serving the DFW community for nearly 20 years. Both owners are licensed massage therapists and instructors, and we are proud to have built a strong, loyal client base and a 4.9-star reputation in our community. We are currently looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team 4 days per week, including at least one weekend day. What Makes Our Practice Different Many of our clients have been with us for years and come specifically for therapeutic, deep tissue, and focused bodywork . Because of our established clientele, our therapists have the opportunity to build a consistent schedule and develop loyal repeat clients. Our therapists typically earn $3,600-$4,600+ per month in commission and tips. We understand that massage therapy is rewarding but physically demanding, and we value our therapists as professionals. We strive to provide a comfortable, supportive working environment where therapists can build a long-term career and grow with our practice. Who We're Looking For Because many of our clients prefer therapeutic and deep tissue massage, applicants must be comfortable providing consistent firm to deep pressure when requested. Beyond technique, we care deeply about finding the right person for our team. We are looking for someone who is: Kind, professional, and genuinely cares about clients Responsible, dependable, and committed to their schedule Comfortable providing firm to deep pressure Open to feedback, learning, and hands-on training Willing to adjust techniques when needed to meet clients' needs Interested in building long-term relationships with clients and growing with our practice New Graduates Are Welcome Experience is a plus, but it is not required. New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. We believe graduating from massage school is only the beginning of becoming a great therapist. If you have a good foundation, strong pressure, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn, our owners provide hands-on training to help you further develop your skills. Our client base has developed specific expectations over many years. We want new therapists to understand what our clients are looking for and learn how to adapt their massage accordingly. For experienced therapists, we do not expect you to change your personal massage style if your current techniques already meet our standards and our clients' needs. If there are areas that need improvement or adjustment, however, we expect an open mind and a willingness to apply feedback. Our goal is not to make every therapist massage exactly the same way. Our goal is to help you understand our clientele and give you the tools to succeed with them. This helps our existing clients feel confident trying a new therapist — and helps you build your own loyal clientele faster. What We Offer Established and busy massage practice Loyal existing client base Competitive commission and tips Hands-on training from licensed massage therapist instructors Ongoing education and professional development Opportunities for advancement Medical insurance Relaxed, comfortable, family-owned work environment Opportunity to build a long-term career with an established local business Schedule This position is for 4 days per week . Weekend availability is required — applicants must be available to work at least one weekend day. Requirements Current Texas Massage Therapist License Ability to provide consistent firm/deep pressure Reliable and responsible attendance Professional and friendly attitude Willingness to learn and accept feedback Commitment to providing excellent client care If you are a new therapist looking for a place to learn and build your clientele, or an experienced therapist looking for a busy and established practice where your skills are valued, we would love to meet you.
