Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Teacher Assistant, Behavior Aide, or Paraprofessional in a dynamic transition program near Pawtucket, RI. This full-time assignment runs from ASAP through November 2026, with the possibility to extend through the full school year. Your shift will be from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. In this important role, you will provide essential support to educators and help students succeed academically and behaviorally. Working closely with teachers and specialists, you'll be part of an impactful team making a difference in students' lives every day.
Qualifications needed:
Associate's Degree or higher, or successful completion of the ParaPro Exam or Teaching Assistant Certificate Experience working with students demonstrating behavioral needs preferred Previous involvement or familiarity with transition programs and/or toileting assistance is desirable Ability to collaborate and maintain professionalism in a school setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Key responsibilities: Support classroom instruction and student learning under the direction of certified staff Provide behavioral support and intervention as needed, helping students develop key social skills Assist with daily living tasks and transitions, including toileting help as required by students' needs Document behavioral observations and communicate effectively with teachers and school staff Promote an inclusive, positive environment for all students Enjoy a pay rate between $18 and $20 per hour, weekly pay cycles, and access to healthcare benefits as part of this assignment.
