Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time night pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. This role involves direct collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and patients to ensure safe and effective medication use within the hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and appropriate dosing Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medications and their safe use Lead medication safety initiatives and contribute to patient care quality Maintain accurate patient profiles and monitor for adverse drug reactions, ensuring prompt reporting Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and manage narcotic accountability Support overall pharmacy operations to optimize clinical outcomes and compliance
Schedule/Hours:
7 consecutive night shifts followed by 7 days off Work week runs Wednesday through
Tuesday Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials and ability to practice in Arizona Experience in hospital pharmacy with knowledge of medication safety and IV admixture preparation Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance This 13-week contract position offers an opportunity for pharmacists seeking night shift work in a collaborative hospital environment.
