Taylor University is seeking applications and nominations of distinctive candidates for a tenure-track position in Psychology beginningin February or August 2027. Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience. Duties and Responsibilities Teaching will consist primarily of courses in the psychologymajor and will include upper-division courses in the candidate's field of expertise. The normal teaching load is 24 hours per academic year.

Scholarly activity, participation in professional activities or organizations, student advising, weekly office hours, faculty governanceresponsibilities, and chapel attendance are expected. Typical Qualifications A doctoraldegree in psychology and the ability to mentor students in psychological research are expected. ABD candidates will be considered.

Excellence in teaching is essential, including integration of faith into the classroom. The candidate should be able to teach a variety ofundergraduate level psychology courses, ranging from introductory to advanced levels. Prior teaching experience is desirable. Successfulcandidates should have demonstrated abilities toward or a record of research and publication. Area of expertise is open, however, those withspecialization in experimental psychology or neuroscience are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a personalChristian faith and be strongly committed to the educational mission of the University. Supplemental Information ThePsychology Department at Taylor has seven full-time faculty members. The department has close ties with kinesiology, social work, publichealth, pre-art therapy, and education departments. There are approximately 170 psychology majors, making psychology the largest singlemajor on campus. In addition, the psychology department has over 140 students in the departmental minors: General Psychology, Autism Studies& Interventions, Counseling, Neuroscience, Industrial-Organizational, Health & Wellness, and Intercultural Psychology. The psychologyprograms have a practicum and/or directed research requirement which encourages student mentoring opportunities.
