Job Description

Mercy is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. You will operate advanced CT equipment, position patients, administer contrast, and ensure radiation safety while following ALARA principles. Collaborating closely with radiologists and the care team, you will support accurate diagnosis and compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and department protocols Operate CT scanners, injectors, and related imaging systems safely and effectively Position patients and verify correct patient, procedure, and site Apply radiation safety and ALARA principles for patients and staff Administer and monitor IV contrast per protocol and policy Assess patients before, during, and after exams, responding to emergent needs Verify image quality and completeness; troubleshoot basic equipment issues Accurately document procedures in
PACS/RIS/EHR
systems Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care Maintain clean, safe, and compliant imaging environment Required Skills Computed tomography (CT) imaging Radiologic positioning and anatomy Operation of CT scanners and PACSRadiation safety and ALARA principles IV contrast administration Patient assessment and monitoring Emergency response in clinical settings Exam protocol optimization Image quality assurance Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
