Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a waterfront city in Maryland, known for its marinas and boating culture. Located just under two hours from Washington, DC, this itinerant role covers the full 2026-2027 school year, providing a dynamic work environment within a school setting.
Position Details:
Contract role for the full school year (2026-2027) Itinerant services providing support across multiple school locations 37.5 hours per week Travel-based assignment, with potential weekend trips to Washington, DC (1 hour 45 minutes away)Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations Develop accurate diagnoses and implement evidence-based treatment plans targeting speech and language disorders Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and educate patients and families on communication improvement techniques Maintain precise and compliant documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support holistic patient careRequired Qualifications and Experience:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Valid Maryland state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with current CCC-SLP credentials Proven skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapy techniques specific to pediatric speech and language needs Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy technology, and electronic health record systems This role is well-suited for a dedicated SLP looking to provide high-quality speech therapy services within a school environment while enjoying the unique lifestyle benefits of a vibrant waterfront city.
