Job Description

Event Associate - Contract Manny's | San Francisco, CA Manny's is looking for reliable, friendly, and organized Event Associates to support private events, community programs, meetings, receptions, and other gatherings at our space in San Francisco. This is a contract, part-time position with both weekday and weekend opportunities. Event Associates help make sure events run smoothly from setup through breakdown. This is a hands-on hospitality role that is a good fit for someone with experience in events, restaurants, cafés, catering, or customer service who enjoys working with people and staying active during events. Responsibilities Set up and break down event spaces according to the event layout and client needs Arrange tables, chairs, stages, signage, and other event materials Welcome clients, guests, speakers, and vendors and provide friendly, professional service Assist with event check-in, guest flow, and general event needs Help with basic audiovisual setup, including microphones, speakers, TVs, HDMI connections, and presentations Monitor the event space throughout the event and respond to client and guest needs Assist with café and bar service when needed, including serving beer, wine, and other beverages Wash dishes and keep event and service areas clean and organized Take out trash and recycling when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space before, during, and after events Communicate with the General Manager and other Manny's staff about event needs or issues Work independently during smaller events and as part of a team during larger events Help troubleshoot basic event, AV, and logistical issues Complete event setup and breakdown efficiently and on schedule Follow Manny's policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service and workplace safety Qualifications Previous experience in events, hospitality, restaurants, cafés, catering, customer service, or a similar environment preferred Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with a wide range of people Reliable and punctual Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks Able to take direction while also working independently Comfortable with basic technology and audiovisual equipment Comfortable with cleaning duties, including washing dishes and taking out trash Able to lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance or a dolly Able to stand and move for extended periods during events Available for both weekday and weekend events Schedule & Compensation Contract, part-time position Approximately 3-10 hours per week , depending on event volume and availability Most event shifts are approximately 3 hours Shifts may take place during weekdays, evenings, and weekends $20 per hour Additional shifts may be available based on event needs and availability

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 3.0 - 10.0 per week
