Kitchen Manager•Training & Development Houston, TX | $70,000•90,000 Annually My Fit Foods is growing quickly, and we're looking for a strong kitchen leader who wants to grow with us. This isn't a traditional Kitchen Manager position. Your primary responsibility will be helping lead a high-performing production kitchen in Houston. As we expand, you'll also have the opportunity to travel to other markets, train teams, support new kitchen openings, and help maintain consistent standards across our kitchens. This is a brand-new opportunity within My Fit Foods and a chance to get in on the ground floor of a company that is expanding rapidly. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is first and foremost a great kitchen operator.
You should have:
3-5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen environment. Strong cooking ability and excellent knife skills. Experience with large-batch cooking and commercial kitchen equipment. Experience with tilt skillets and other large-scale production equipment is strongly preferred. A strong understanding of food quality, consistency, portioning, production, safety, and sanitation. The ability to teach and develop people—not simply manage them. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively with different teams, personalities, and cultures. A growth mindset and a desire to continually improve. The flexibility to travel periodically, including occasional travel with short notice. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
Experience may come from:
Restaurants or corporate restaurant groups Hotels or resorts Catering or banquet operations Commissary kitchens Meal-prep or food-production facilities Grocery or large-scale production kitchens What You'll Do Help lead the daily operations of a high-performing Houston production kitchen. Remain hands-on in production and lead from the front. Train teams on recipes, production methods, food quality, portioning, safety, sanitation, and operational standards. Help onboard and develop Kitchen Managers, cooks, and production team members. Travel to other My Fit Foods markets to train and support kitchen teams. Support new kitchen openings and growing markets. Share best practices and help create consistency across every kitchen. Partner with Kitchen Managers and culinary leadership to identify opportunities for improvement. Step into other kitchens when additional leadership or training support is needed. We Can Teach You Our Way You don't need to know everything about My Fit Foods on day one. We'll teach you our recipes, production systems, portioning methods, standards, and processes. What we need is someone who already has the kitchen fundamentals, leadership ability, work ethic, and attitude to learn our systems—and eventually teach them to others. We're not looking for someone who simply wants to clock in, run a shift, and go home. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, works hard, cares about the people around them, and wants to help build something. Why This Role Is Different As My Fit Foods opens more storefronts and production kitchens, we need to build a strong bench of kitchen leaders who can maintain our standards across every market. Someone who starts in Houston could eventually help train teams in other cities, support new kitchen openings, develop future managers, or grow into a larger leadership role within the company. We want to grow our people as we grow our business. About My Fit Foods My Fit Foods is a rapidly growing healthy meal-prep company focused on making nutritious, chef-prepared meals convenient and accessible. Our culinary teams prepare fresh meals in high-volume production kitchens for delivery to My Fit Foods stores and customers. We're building something special by combining great food, strong operations, and great people. Our continued growth creates opportunities for leaders who want to be part of the next chapter.
