Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality care to animals while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Duties Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to maintain a sanitary environment. Feed, water, and monitor the health status of animals in our care. Assist with dog handling, including restraint during examinations or treatments. Support veterinary staff with basic procedures and animal restraint techniques. Provide pet grooming services such as bathing and brushing as needed. Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report findings to veterinary staff. Assist with pet sitting duties, ensuring animals are comfortable during their stay. Heavy lifting of animals or supplies may be required to ensure proper handling and safety. Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and treatments. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs. Qualifications Prior experience in veterinary technician work, pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel operations is preferred. Knowledge of dog training, animal handling, and animal restraint techniques is highly desirable. Strong animal care skills with an understanding of veterinary procedures and pet health monitoring. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
