10-Hour Shifts About Us Thank you for your interest in Animal AM Emergency Clinic of Pasadena! We are a busy 24-hour emergency and day practice looking for an experienced RVT to join our overnight (graveyard) team. Overnight is a mix of hospitalized patient care, treatments, and discharges, with emergency cases and surgery coming in as they arise. This role requires someone who is confident, efficient, and comfortable working independently overnight, including handling treatments and client communication, while working closely with the doctor. Position Details Full-time, 10-hour overnight shifts (example: 8p-6:30a, 9p-7:30a) Consistent schedule preferred Fast-paced ER setting Weekends and holidays required Responsibilities Support the overnight ER shift with strong technical skills and the ability to work independently Manage hospitalized patients, treatments, and discharges throughout the shift Assist with triage of incoming emergency cases, anesthesia monitoring, and emergency procedures/surgery as needed Work closely with the overnight veterinarian to ensure quality patient care Maintain organization of treatment area, equipment, and inventory Communicate clearly with doctors and team to ensure continuity of care Help keep workflow moving efficiently during the shift Provide excellent patient care while also delivering strong client communication and customer service, including answering phones and assisting clients overnight What We're Looking For Licensed RVT 2+ years of experience, ER or specialty preferred Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiographs, and patient restraint Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently overnight and adapting to changing case flow Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable with solid attendance Experience That's a Plus ER, specialty, or critical care experience Experience with Pulse (or similar software) Bilingual Physical Requirements Must be able to lift and restrain patients over 40 lbs (with assistance) Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working in a clinical environment that may include exposure to blood, bodily fluids, odors, and emergency situations Compensation & Benefits $27-$36/hr DOE Medical, dental, and vision (for eligible employees) 401(k) Aflac supplemental options PTO CE allowance for RVTs Employee pet discounts We have a supportive, team oriented environment and are excited to add the right person to our overnight team.
