Based on experience Job Summary ProColor Collision is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our auto collision repair team. This position is ideal for someone who has experience in the automotive or body shop industry and is looking to grow into a full estimator role. The Junior Estimator will assist with writing estimates, communicating with customers and insurance companies, documenting vehicle damage, taking proper photos, updating repair files, and supporting the shop's daily production flow. This role requires strong organization, communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced collision repair environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with writing accurate collision repair estimates. Inspect vehicles and document visible damage. Take clear and complete vehicle photos for insurance and repair documentation. Help prepare repair files with proper notes, photos, authorizations, and customer information. Communicate with customers regarding vehicle status, approvals, supplements, and repair timelines. Communicate with insurance adjusters when needed. Assist with supplements by identifying additional damage and helping gather documentation. Update CCC ONE, repair files, and internal tracking sheets daily. Help ensure all estimates, photos, supplements, and final bills are properly uploaded and documented. Work closely with the production manager, parts department, body technicians, painters, and front office team. Follow up on parts, approvals, insurance payments, and customer concerns when needed. Attend daily production meetings and provide updates on assigned vehicles. Help move vehicles through the repair process efficiently and professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area. Follow all company policies, repair procedures, and documentation standards. Required Qualifications Previous experience in an auto body shop, dealership, automotive repair shop, or insurance-related role preferred. Basic understanding of vehicle parts, collision damage, and repair terminology. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computers, phones, email, and shop management systems. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time. Must be organized and able to manage multiple repair files at once. Must be professional, reliable, and punctual. Must be willing to learn and grow within the company. Preferred Experience Experience using CCC ONE is strongly preferred. Experience with insurance claims, DRP assignments, or supplement processes is a plus. Knowledge of parts ordering, repair planning, teardown, and production flow is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Previous customer service experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Skills Needed for This Position Strong organization skills. Clear written and verbal communication. Ability to take detailed notes. Ability to identify vehicle damage. Basic computer skills. Problem-solving ability. Customer service mindset. Ability to work with technicians, managers, insurance adjusters, and customers. Willingness to be trained and coached. Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure. Daily Duties May Include Reviewing new assignments and customer drop-offs. Taking check-in photos and damage photos. Assisting with estimates and supplements. Updating CCC ONE notes. Following up with customers and insurance companies. Helping confirm parts, approvals, and repair status. Preparing files for production and delivery. Helping ensure final bills and supplements are submitted correctly. Work Environment This position requires working in both an office and shop environment. The candidate may be required to walk around vehicles, take photos, speak with customers, communicate with technicians, and assist with repair file documentation throughout the day.
