Job Description
Stillwater Collision & Mechanical is a locally owned and independently operated shop offering automotive mechanical, collision, and body repair services. We've been servicing the Stillwater and surrounding area for over 30 years and pride ourselves on supporting community while providing expert workmanship, and customer service. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic who will be responsible for day-to-day diagnosis and repair of vehicles in accordance to factory standards. Additional responsibilities and compensation are available based on the individual's technical and diagnostic abilities along with their ability to manage people and day to day shop activities, service write, order parts, and/or interact with vendors and customers. Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Receive incoming vehicles Perform mechanical and electrical diagnosis Create or follow a vehicle repair plan Create repair quote estimates Communicate repair plan and repair quote estimates to service writer or customer Order or receive necessary parts Repair cars or trucks in accordance to manufacturer standards Perform maintenance as specified by manufacturer standards Recommend additional repairs and services as needed Ensure thorough safety and mechanical work was completed and documented Operate and use all shop equipment properly and safely Maintain tools, keep equipment clean and in a proper state of repair Ensure shop area is maintained, clean, and organized through the proper removal of waste, stocking of parts, and fluids Participate as a member of a team dedicated to exceeding customer expectations Perform other related duties as assigned such as cleaning, maintenance, assisting in other areas, etc. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions; Position is based on a normal shop environment. Occasional physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping, and lifting and carrying objects over 50lbs. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, along with high levels of noise may occur. Subject to weather conditions both inside and out. Required to wear protective equipment when necessary. Occasional sedentary work. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
