Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests. Provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance using estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools. Upsell appropriate services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspension work, transmissions, shocks & struts, air brake systems, etc. Prepare clear and comprehensive service estimates while managing service writing and repair order documentation. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services. Communicate effectively with clients about vehicle status, repair options, and recommended maintenance to enhance customer satisfaction. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities. Utilize auto estimating software and computer estimating tools to assess repair costs precisely. Promote services proactively to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining integrity and transparency. Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures, including engine diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts, brake systems, suspension components. Experience Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or automotive repair shop. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or service technician is highly desirable. Familiarity with estimating software platforms. Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Experience with automotive diagnostics across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension, air brakes, and collision repair is preferred. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive vehicles for test drives or inspections is essential.
