Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician ensures the reliable operation and upkeep of injection molding equipment and the facility, including Toyo and Arburg injection molding presses and associated robotics. This role maintains preventive maintenance programs for all facility equipment, keeps accurate maintenance records, collaborates closely with machine operators and all departments, and works proactively to minimize equipment downtime and failures. Responsibilities Perform routine and corrective maintenance on injection molding equipment & robotics Maintain and execute preventive maintenance programs for all facility equipment Inspect equipment and systems regularly to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs before failures occur. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC issues Keep accurate, up-to-date maintenance records including inventory of parts / components Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience. Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation. Hands-on experience with plastics processing and injection molding equipment. Knowledge of inspection and quality practices related to equipment performance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in clean injection molding environments, including medical clean rooms and automotive production areas. Strong communication skills to collaborate with machine operators and cross-functional departments. Attention to detail in documenting maintenance activities and equipment status. Ability to work overtime as required to support production and maintenance needs. Commitment to safety and quality in all maintenance tasks. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a clean injection molding facility that includes both a medical clean room. The maintenance technician interacts with a clean quality department and will regularly walk the production floor. The position is on 2nd shift, typically from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with overtime required as needed. The environment is organized and quality-focused, with established procedures to support safe work practices in specialized areas such as medical clean rooms. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $68640.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. medical, dental, vision, 4o1k Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Elgin,IL.
