Role Description The Facility Maintenance Technician - Industrial is a full-time, on-site role based in Swanton, Ohio. This position is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and repairing mechanical components, addressing work orders, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating with supervisors to prioritize maintenance activities. The technician will also support general building upkeep, assist with small construction or installation projects, and ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards. Collaboration with other team members and clear communication with facility stakeholders are key aspects of this role. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial and facility systems. Candidates should possess skills in Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance to support overall property operations. Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and structural issues within industrial facilities. Relevant experience in industrial or commercial facility maintenance, construction, or mechanical trades is beneficial. Knowledge of safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and the use of hand and power tools is preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders is advantageous. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or building trades is a plus. Reliable transportation to on-site location in Swanton, OH and ability to work occasional extended or flexible hours as needed Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance. Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical systems and repairing electrical equipment. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and plumbing diagrams effectively. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for automation troubleshooting. Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices to optimize facility performance. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
