Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our Anaheim team. This role focuses on service, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems. You'll diagnose issues, perform repairs, replace components, and ensure systems operate efficiently to protect our customers' products and business operations. You'll work closely with dispatch, service managers, and customers — maintaining Subtech's standards of craftsmanship, documentation, and communication. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment such as: Walk-in coolers & freezers Ice machines Refrigerated display cases Reach-in refrigerators & freezers Rack systems and condensing units Perform scheduled preventative maintenance Identify inefficiencies and recommend system improvements Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerants per EPA standards Maintain detailed service documentation and communicate updates with dispatch Follow all Subtech and OSHA safety protocols Represent Subtech HVAC with professionalism at every site Qualifications 3+ years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical skills EPA 608 Certification required (or ability to obtain promptly) Experience with HVAC systems and controls a plus Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screen Trade school or HVAC/R certification preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Self-motivated, reliable, and safety-focused
