We are currently seeking dependable, motivated individuals to join our team as a Meter Reader / Field Service Technician to service our property management clients and commercial properties throughout the NYC metropolitan area. No previous water meter experience is required. We provide complete on-the-job training. Employees report each morning to our Cedar Grove, NJ location and travel in teams using a company-provided vehicle to complete scheduled service routes. Responsibilities Travel to commercial properties throughout the NYC metropolitan area. Locate and accurately read and record water meter data ensuring precise billing information. Take photographs and document meter conditions when necessary. Communicate clearly and professionally with building managers, supers, tenants and other property personnel during field visits, explaining work performed and providing excellent customer service. Conduct inspections of meters and related infrastructure, identifying potential issues requiring repair or replacement. Assist with basic water meter and plumbing-related field work as needed. Follow assigned daily routes and maintain accurate records. Follow safety protocols related to work, to ensure personal safety and compliance with industry standards. Work cooperatively with other members of the field team. Ability to walk, climb stairs and access basements, mechanical rooms and other areas where water meters may be located. Basic mechanical or plumbing knowledge is helpful, but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
