$1150•$1200/week Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join a busy acute care hospital. This role is critical in ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use in the operating room. Responsibilities Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments Assemble instrument trays and case carts Operate washers, sterilizers, and high-level disinfection equipment Ensure compliance with AAMI, AORN, and infection control standards Conduct biological and chemical sterilization monitoring Maintain accurate equipment and sterilization documentation Support multiple specialties including orthopedics, OB/GYN, ENT, urology, and plastics Requirements Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience High School Diploma or equivalent CRCST or CBSPD certification required BLS certification preferred Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong communication and teamwork skills Additional Details Local candidates only Rotating weekends and holidays required Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced OR environment Facility Guidelines Strict dress code (no visible tattoos, no facial piercings, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair color) Orientation includes non-billable modules Thanks and regards,
