Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Baxter Machine is looking for dependable individuals to join our team as CNC Machine Operators . Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or grinders is preferred. This is currently a first-shift position . As Baxter Machine continues to grow, we anticipate adding a second shift within approximately the next 12-18 months. Job Responsibilities Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and other production equipment Load and unload parts and keep machines running efficiently Make machine offsets and adjustments as needed to maintain part specifications Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts Read and understand dimensions, and tolerances Perform basic shop math Record production quantities and other required production information Complete SPC measurements and documentation Monitor parts throughout production to ensure quality requirements are maintained Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety and quality procedures Candidates must be able to: Perform basic math, including decimals and fractions Learn how to make CNC machine offsets Learn to read measuring equipment and understand tolerances Use or learn to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Accurately complete production and SPC documentation Stand and work on their feet for 8-10 hours per day Follow written work instructions and procedures Work independently once properly trained Maintain consistent attendance and arrive to work on time Preferred Experience Previous experience with any of the following is a plus, but is not required : CNC lathes CNC mills CNC grinders Micrometers and calipers Blueprint reading SPC Manufacturing or machine-shop work

Schedule Current Shift:

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Overtime is occasionally available or required, but Baxter Machine works overtime infrequently . Employment Structure New employees will begin employment through a temporary staffing agency for a minimum of 520 working hours . Pay Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Candidates with relevant CNC machining, manufacturing, or inspection experience may be considered based on their experience and skill level. What We're Looking For We are not only looking for someone with machining experience. We are looking for someone who is dependable, pays attention to detail, is willing to learn, and takes responsibility for producing good parts. If you have CNC experience, we want to hear from you. If you do not have experience but are mechanically inclined, comfortable with math, and interested in learning CNC machining, we encourage you to apply.
