NICU Nurse (RN)

Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Contract Deliver specialized care to newborns and support families as a skilled RN in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This contract opportunity is designed for experienced nurses passionate about making a significant difference in the lives of infants requiring advanced medical attention.

Qualifications:

Active, unencumbered RN license Proven experience working in a Level II or

III NICU

setting Current BLS and NRP certifications Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and evaluate care for high-acuity neonatal patients

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive, individualized nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and life support interventions as ordered by medical staff Operate specialized NICU equipment including incubators, ventilators, and monitors Accurately document infant status, care provided, and family interactions in medical records Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans Educate and emotionally support families, ensuring they understand treatment processes and progress Uphold infection control procedures and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for vulnerable patients
