Phlebotomist / Clinical Laboratory Assistant - PRN at St. Mary's Health & Clearwater Valley Health in Cottonwood, Idaho, United States Job Description Performs phlebotomy functions and non-technical duties in areas including the hospital laboratory, outpatient and clinic services.

Essential Job Functions:

Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, finger stick, heal stick, and bleeding time) according to established procedure. Identifies patients and properly labels specimen tubes. Determines priority of STAT draws. Ensures timely transport of all patient specimens to lab for testing. Helps co-workers when needed and communicates with laboratory departments when needed to ensure an orderly work flow. Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens. Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function. Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of phlebotomy experience, preferred Must be able to prioritize and multitask. PRN Position SMH is
