Duties Lead and supervise the meat department team, including, training, and developing staff to ensure top performance and excellent customer service. Cutting all cuts of meat. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering products, and ensuring proper product rotation to minimize waste. Oversee purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize sales and profitability. Ensure compliance with safety standards, health regulations, and company policies across all department activities. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet store demands while maintaining operational efficiency. Experience Proven management experience within the retail industry, specifically in cutting meat, in a meat management role. Demonstrated supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment with responsibilities including employee training, scheduling, and performance oversight. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math for pricing and budgeting purposes. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with retail industry sales techniques such as upselling, merchandising, and customer service excellence. Ability to manage operational tasks including stock replenishment, merchandising displays, and store cleanliness while maintaining organizational skills.
