About the
Company:
A professional civil and environmental engineering firm with over 50 years of recognized expertise in soil and groundwater investigations and remediation; solid waste services; civil engineering design; water supply permitting, assessments, studies, and research; planning and permitting; and environmental due diligence. Seeking a Senior Engineer / Geologist with 15 or more years of geologic professional experience in the field of solid waste. The position will include office and minor field work. The prospective candidate should have significant experience with solid waste regulations, permitting, compliance monitoring / reporting, hydrogeologic investigations, landfill gas (LFG) design and compliance monitoring, and reporting for facilities and components that include landfills, LFG collection systems, transfer stations, materials recovery facilities, household hazardous waste facilities and composting facilities. The preferred candidate would have experience in base liner / final cover design and construction quality assurance (CQA). Experience with managing personnel and budgets is required. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited, to the following: Lead the technical aspects of solid waste projects. Oversee the firm's Title 27 compliance monitoring and reporting services. Preparation of permitting documents such as Joint Technical Documents (JTD) and Reports of Waste Discharge (RoWD). Oversee LFG monitoring programs and prepare LFG control plans. Prepare Preliminary and/or Final Closure / Post Closure Maintenance Plans Prepare and implement Corrective Action Plans. Prepare CQA plans and oversee independent third party CQA inspection services. Perform landfill design services related to landfill expansion and closure design. Prepare proposals and track project budgets. Minimum Requirements Minimum 15 years professional experience. State of California Certified Engineering Geologist and/or Professional Engineer. Bachelor's degree in Geology or other related discipline. Ability to pass pre-employment physical and follow company Health & Safety policies. Preferred Qualifications C.E.G. and/or P.E. Experience in landfill design and/or CQA Masters Degree Pay range and compensation package :Pay:
