Seasonal Facility Attendant

Seasonal Facility Attendant Position Objective This position requires the employee to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors of the Oaks Community Association. The Seasonal Facility Attendant should be available Memorial Day weekend Through Labor Day weekend

• 6 hours (3pm to 9pm) Sunday through Wednesday Duties and Responsibilities GENERAL
• Monitor and enforce board adopted rules governing the clubhouse, playground area, basketball court, spa and pool area
• Maintain safety of residents and visitors while they use the facilities
• Light cleaning of clubhouse, including kitchen area, windows and doors and the pool and spa area
• Put umbrellas and other items away at end of shift
• Write reports as required for activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, unsecured properties, or any unusual occurrence
• Call police or fire department in cases of emergency
• Circulate among resident, visitors and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Serve as a member of various employee committees, as assigned
• Other duties as assigned or apparent.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communications:

Must have the ability to actively listen to others and understanding their needs and situations. Must be able to assertively control conversations in order to quickly and accurately gather pertinent information and be able to communicate this information professionally and precisely to the proper recipient. Must have the ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Must be able to use, read and understand pool and spa testing equipment. Must be able to read and understand English.

Must act in a decisive manner, using good judgment. Must be able to assess problems and situations, able to anticipate needs and evaluate alternatives. Must be able to effectively interpret the policies and objectives of the Association.

Physical Abilities:

Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media.
