Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 2nd shift Assisted Living Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality personal care and support to residents in an assisted living environment during evening hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatrics, dementia care, and long-term care, with a passion for enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive and respectful assistance. Schedule:

Tuesday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm (32hrs/week) Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to ensure residents' health stability. Support residents with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, utilizing specialized techniques for behavior management. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and document all medication-related activities accurately. Serve nutritious meals and assist with meal service while accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following infection control protocols and cleaning procedures. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure personalized care plans are followed. Support residents' rights by promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining resident dignity. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents and team members. Commitment to resident safety, rights, and well-being within a long-term care or home & community care setting.
