Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote comfort and independence. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Administer medications safely following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to prevent injury. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Assist with transportation for appointments or errands, ensuring client safety during outings or community engagement. Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that address specific needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism spectrum support, or developmental disabilities. Respect residents' rights by promoting autonomy and dignity while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations including HIPAA and resident's rights policies. Experience Candidates should bring prior experience working in home health or community care settings, demonstrating familiarity with patient observation, medication administration, and assisting with ADLs. Experience working with seniors or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is highly valued. Knowledge of hospice care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and long-term care practices will enhance your ability to deliver exceptional service. Hands-on experience using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and monitoring vital signs is essential. A background in assisted living or nursing home environments provides a strong foundation for success in this role. Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in manual handling or specialized caregiving techniques is a plus. Your commitment to compassionate caregiving combined with your ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members will make you an outstanding addition to our dedicated caregiving team.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
