This is a consistent part-time position with approximately 8-10 shifts per month.

We are currently hiring for:

Thursday:

4:15 PM

•6:45

PM Friday:

4:15 PM

•6:45

PM Saturday:

7:45 AM

•10:15 AM, approximately one Saturday per month Applicants must be reliably available for both Thursday AND Friday evenings and the rotating Saturday shift. Because our members depend on us for reliable childcare, consistent attendance and dependable transportation are non-negotiable. If this schedule doesn't work for you consistently, this likely won't be the right position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

During each 45-minute camp window, you'll create a safe, positive, and fun environment for children while their parent or legal guardian participates in their workout.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming children and their parents with a warm, positive attitude. Creating a fun and engaging environment for children ages 8 weeks-12 years . Playing with children through age-appropriate games, activities, art, music, and creative play. Supervising up to 25 children at a time alongside another team member. Maintaining a safe environment and following all Childwatch safety procedures. Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents/guardians. Redirecting behavior when necessary with patience and kindness. Recognizing when a child needs additional support or assistance. Helping create monthly art projects and other fun activities. Keeping the Childwatch space clean, organized, and welcoming. Cleaning and sanitizing the room and frequently touched areas at the end of each shift. Communicating with the rest of the Burn team to ensure a great experience for our families.

You get on their level, play with them, talk to them, create activities, and make them feel welcome. Is safety-minded. You understand that supervising children is a responsibility, not simply a fun perk of working with kids. Communicates well. You can communicate clearly and respectfully with children, parents, and your teammates. Takes initiative. You notice when something needs to be cleaned, organized, or addressed and take care of it without waiting to be asked. Is coachable. You're open to feedback and willing to learn our safety procedures, expectations, and way of doing things. Is a team player. You understand that every role contributes to creating an exceptional experience for our members.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience may include: Childcare Babysitting Daycare Preschool Camps Teaching Coaching Church or community children's programs Nannying School or classroom experience You should be comfortable engaging children through activities such as: Coloring & crafts Music & singing Games & puzzles Reading Imaginative play Age-appropriate active play
