Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Play a vital role in shaping the educational experience for elementary students as an onsite Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This rewarding contract opportunity focuses on supporting students in specialized learning environments, bringing your expertise and care to a vibrant school community near the Andover area. You'll work with elementary-level caseloads—ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities), or EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disorders)—with preferences considered, so you can make an impact in the area where you shine. You'll work onsite across two key elementary schools: Lino Lakes ES and Columbus ES, contributing to a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key qualifications:
Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching certification (required to be attached with your resume) Experience with elementary caseloads—ASD, DCD, or EBD preferred Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment Strong communication and organizational abilities Commitment to effectively collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff Responsibilities include: Delivering engaging, individualized instruction to students with diverse needs Developing and implementing IEPs aligned with each student's unique goals Assessing student progress and communicating effectively with educational teams Collaborating with general educators and specialists to promote student success Maintaining accurate records and compliance with state guidelines Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, 35 hours per week, with your choice of focus caseload to match your skills and interests.
