Job Description

Location :
Taylor, TX 76574 The SCCM Administrator will manage enterprise endpoint infrastructure across Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Group Policy, Microsoft Intune, and third-party patch management platforms. The role will own day-to-day SCCM administration, software distribution, patch management, endpoint security, application deployment, client health, and infrastructure monitoring. The position will also lead Group Policy governance and cleanup, support SCCM and Intune co-management, manage Windows Autopilot deployments, and ensure effective endpoint configuration and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise SCCM experience along with hands-on expertise in GPO, Intune, Active Directory, PowerShell, SQL Server, PKI, patch management, and endpoint troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
Administer, deploy, maintain, and support SCCM infrastructure for enterprise endpoint management Manage software distribution, patch management, endpoint security, and Configuration Manager infrastructure Build and maintain SCCM packages, applications, collections, and deployments Manage SCCM client health, including troubleshooting agent issues, reinstallations, discovery methods, and client push Administer Software Update Point (SUP) and WSUS environments Troubleshoot

synchronization issues and manage Automatic Deployment Rules (ADR) Own the monthly Patch Tuesday patching cadence across enterprise endpoints Manage third-party application patching using Patch My PC or similar tools Manage Distribution Points, content distribution, and distribution point health Monitor content distribution failures and troubleshoot related issues Configure and maintain SCCM boundaries and boundary groups for appropriate client site assignment and content routing Support Operating System Deployment (OSD), including task sequence development and maintenance Manage imaging and re-imaging processes and driver packages Use CMPivot for real-time device queries and rapid troubleshooting Configure maintenance windows and SCCM client settings Monitor SCCM infrastructure health and troubleshoot issues affecting system performance Develop and maintain reports covering deployment status, patch compliance, hardware inventory, and endpoint information Design, implement, and manage Group Policy Objects enforcing security baselines and configuration standards Inventory existing GPOs and document their business and technical purposes Identify and consolidate overlapping, obsolete, or deprecated GPOs Develop and maintain standardized GPO baselines for core systems, security, browsers, Office applications, and remote access Diagnose and resolve GPO conflicts, replication issues, and policy processing problems Use RSoP, GPResult, and Event Viewer to troubleshoot Group Policy issues Optimize GPO performance through link order, enforcement, WMI filters, and item-level targeting Establish GPO governance and change-control processes Maintain test OUs, approval workflows, rollback plans, and supporting documentation Support audit requirements and knowledge transfer related to Group Policy management Enroll and configure workstations for SCCM and Intune co-management Configure and support Microsoft Intune for enterprise endpoint management Support Windows Autopilot deployment and device provisioning Package, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications through Intune Manage and support the Company Portal experience Troubleshoot Intune enrollment and device management issues Maintain compliance and configuration policies within Intune Manage BitLocker policies and endpoint security configurations Support Mobile Application Management (MAM) and app protection policies Coordinate with Conditional Access policies to ensure device compliance supports access requirements Partner with infrastructure, security, networking, and other IT teams to integrate SCCM, GPO, Intune, and patch management platforms Enforce endpoint security best practices across SCCM, GPO, Intune, and related technologies Serve as a technical resource for IT staff regarding SCCM, GPO, Intune, and endpoint management Support software licensing and compliance reporting using SCCM inventory data Maintain current knowledge of Configuration Manager, Intune, Windows, Group Policy, and endpoint management technologies Use PowerShell to automate administrative, reporting, and troubleshooting activities Support SCCM reporting and troubleshooting using SQL Server Manage and troubleshoot SQL Server infrastructure supporting SCCM Support SQL Server Always On Availability Groups in multi-server SCCM environments Build and customize SSRS reports beyond standard SCCM reporting capabilities Use CMTrace to analyze SCCM client and server logs Review Windows Event Logs, IIS logs, Patch My PC logs, and other relevant logs to diagnose endpoint and infrastructure issues Identify appropriate log sources based on client installation, policy, content distribution, patching, or other SCCM-related issues Troubleshoot PKI infrastructure and certificate management issues affecting endpoint management Support enterprise endpoint infrastructure in a complex multi-domain and multi-OU Active Directory environment Perform additional systems administration, endpoint management, and infrastructure responsibilities as assigned
