40 hours of paid sick leave per year; access to free after-school and out-of-school programs for your children Job Overview The Front Desk Representative is responsible for duties related to managing Club membership, program registration and reception of all guests entering the Club. This position is often the first face our youth members and their families see when entering the Club and has the ability to set the tone for family and community relationships with the Club. Key Responsibilities With a positive and welcoming attitude, greet and assist Club members, parents/caregivers and visitors immediately upon entry to the Club. Assist all youth entering the building to sign-in and to actively participate in activities. Share knowledge of all activities and programs offered by the Club. Answer parent/caregiver inquiries and generate interest in programs offered. Process program registration, including handling cash and credit card transactions. Conduct data entry and create reports with our Club membership system, MyClubHub. Maintain friendly, cooperative relationships with youth, parents/caregivers and volunteers. Provide leadership and guidance to members. Enforce Club rules with fairness and consistency. Ensure a clean, healthy, safe, welcoming and positive environment is created and maintained, producing a sense of physical and emotional safety for our youth members. Purchase supplies and equipment in compliance with Club procedures. Perform regular secretarial duties, including preparing reports, collecting and disseminating information to club staff, volunteers, members and families. May be responsible for managing inventory of office equipment and service contracts, performing routine maintenance and contact service representatives as needed.Cooperate with Clubhouse staff members:
maintain close, daily contact with Club professional staff and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; and advise council. Assume other duties as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate Possesses practical knowledge and experience to multi-task and manage a high-energy reception area, including answering phones, promptly responding to email, and positive, diplomatic communication with youth, parents/caregivers and guests. Understands how to work with youth, is sensitive to their needs and has an understanding of their concerns. Has strong and timely communication skills, both verbal and written. Is at least 18 years of age and meets the general requirements for BGCSCC employment, including a full background check indicating fitness to work with youth. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Has a positive and solutions-oriented attitude. Familiar with Salesforce or a comparable data-management platform.Physical / Work
Requirements Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Required hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 12:30 pm- 6 pm, and Thursday from 11:30

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County is seeking a responsible and safety conscious Van Driver to join our team. This essential role involves safely transporting youth from designated school sites to the Club each weekday afternoon during the school year. Additionally, the Van Driver will provide transportation on an as-needed basis during the summer months for outings, field trips, and special events. This position plays a vital part in ensuring our members have dependable and safe access to both after-school and summer programs that support their academic achievement, personal growth, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities Safely operate Club-owned van(s) to transport children from designated schools to the Boys & Girls Club, as well as provide transportation for field trips, outings, and special events. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of transportation logs, mileage, and any incidents. Ensure the safety and proper supervision of all youth during transport, including adherence to all booster seat and car seat laws and recommended best practices based on age, weight, and height requirements. Communicate effectively and professionally with Club staff, school personnel, and parents when needed. Follow all local traffic laws, transportation safety policies, and Boys & Girls Club procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van interior. Report any vehicle maintenance needs or behavioral issues to the appropriate Club staff. Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive and professional manner at all times, including the ability to build supportive relationships with Club youth. Knowledge and Qualifications Minimum age : 21 years oldDriver's License :
Valid Driver's License (Class C) with Passenger (P) endorsementDriving Record:
Clean driving record with no major violations; must be insurable under the Club's vehicle insurance policy. The following criteria will be used to determine qualifications for driver eligibility: Be at least 21 years of age Be in good physical condition Possess the physical ability—such as strength, coordination, stamina, and mobility—required to operate a vehicle Have no health conditions that could cause loss of control, impair physical or mental functioning, or lead to immobilization while driving Have good eyesight, either naturally or with corrective lenses, and no visual impairments that could interfere with safe vehicle operation Have a clean driving record within the past three years, as detailed below Be eligible for employment, volunteer, or contract work through BGCSCC guidelines The following violations will automatically disqualify BGCSCC staff from being approved to drive any Club vehicles:DUI or DWI:
No driver will be allowed to operate the vehicle if they have had a DUI or DWI previously. Conviction of Reckless Driving , Fleeing the Scene of an Accident, or Hit & Run. Any violations with a count of two points within 3 years License suspensions within 3 years 3 Accidents within 12 months Has knowingly made a false statement or concealed a material fact on an application for licensure/BGCSCC driver qualificationExperience:
Prior experience transporting youth preferred.Background Check:
Must pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check as required by state/local laws and Club policy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and focused at all times while driving, in the midst of what can at times be a noisy or high-energy environment Ability to manage time and routes efficiently and safely. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Operates primarily in a Club van while transporting youth between school and Club locations. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, enter and exit the vehicle frequently, and assist youth in entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
