Gate Clerk (2nd shift / 6:30pm-03:00am)

Primary Objectives of Position Gate Clerk is responsible for in-gate and/or inspections on all inbound and outbound intermodal chassis using a computer system and/or handheld device. This gate entry role controls access into and out of facilities, supports on-site logistics, and helps to ensure our gate operations run safely and effectively. Major Duties & Responsibilities Computer workstation and handheld data entry, to include coding on all related forms of chassis repair and maintenance identification on repair estimates. Direct truckers with chassis pick-ups, chassis returns and to include help with assignment of units associated with contract bookings. Manage gate traffic flow with emphasis on yard cleanliness and traffic safety. Assist with facility-related maintenance as needed. Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols Job Specifications & Requirements Education and Experience High School Diploma Speak, read and write the English language adequately Bi-lingual language ability is a plus. Mechanical skills are a plus. Ability to fill out and handwrite manual interchanges in the event of desktop/handheld network issues while ensuring unit details are accurate for later data input. Computer literacy. Detail oriented and ability to work in fast paced environment. A willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
