Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Set in the scenic heart of southern Idaho, Kimberly offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and easy access to outdoor adventure—think breathtaking canyons, serene hiking trails, and weekends in nearby natural parks. Working a travel contract here means experiencing the best of both worlds: expanding your clinical expertise in a respected hospital and spending your downtime exploring a vibrant, nature-filled community. This 13-week travel assignment places you in a dynamic occupational therapy department serving an adult inpatient population. The position provides immersion in both acute inpatient and rehabilitation settings, exposing you to diverse patient diagnoses including ortho-total joints, neuro-strokes, brain injuries, general medical conditions, and ICU cases. With a team-oriented environment and regular collaboration with experienced managers and rehab aides, you'll deepen your clinical knowledge and adapt to various leadership styles. Schedule/Hours:
Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:30 am - 6:00 pm) Rotating weekends (unless weekends are your assigned shift) Flexibility during onboarding (expect five 8-hour days initially for orientation) Holiday coverage as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed OT in acute inpatient or rehab settings Current state licensure and BLS certification required Comfort treating 10-12 patients daily Willingness to float between inpatient, rehab, and (potentially) ICU environments Familiarity with
EPIC EMR
preferred Open to first-time travelers
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy to adult inpatients—evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation Collaborate with rehab aides and multi-disciplinary teams Support weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled Contribute to department goals and patient-centered care initiatives
