Schedule/Hours:

12-hour shifts, 6 am-6 pm or 6 pm-6 am Self-scheduling and block scheduling available Must attend monthly departmental meetings Every other weekend required Holiday coverage as needed

Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required NICU experience required (STABLE and NRP certifications only needed for NICU coverage) Minimum of 1 year experience; first-time travelers welcome Comfort with ABGs, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilators, bedside bronch assistance Ability to assist with intubation and place LMA Familiarity with equipment such as Drager, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, vapotherm, and Philips v60/v30

Responsibilities:

Deliver inpatient and ER respiratory care to a diverse patient population Draw and analyze ABGs Perform and document breathing treatments, manage non-invasive and invasive vents Support ICU, MedSurg, NICU, and emergency units as needed Float to varied units as required; never sole RT in-house
