USCG Licensed Captain

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated US Coast Guard (USCG) Licensed Captain to operate private charter vessels on beautiful San Diego Bay. This is a flexible independent contractor position responsible for safely operating vessels carrying up to 12 passengers throughout San Diego Bay. Hours vary based on bookings and seasonal demand. Weekend and holiday availability is preferred. Duties Operate vessels safely and efficiently, adhering to all USCG regulations and maritime laws Ensure all passengers follow onboard safety procedures Conduct professional safety briefings prior to departure Navigate San Diego Bay safely and responsibly while maintaining awareness of surrounding vessel traffic and conditions Maintain a calm, professional and guest-focused presence onboard Exercise strong decision making and situational awareness at all times Provide guests with a safe, enjoyable, and professional charter experience Requirements Valid US Coast Guard License as a Captain or Master Mariner with appropriate endorsements Proven experience in maritime navigation and vessel operation in various conditions Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills Reliable, punctual, and safety-orientated Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations Weekend and holiday availability preferred

Pay:

$50.00 per hour
