Overview We are seeking a dedicated and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, and a passion for animal care. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the health and well-being of our animal patients. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and efficiently manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic flow. Handle medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments. Maintain detailed records of patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans using veterinary management software. Facilitate communication between veterinarians, technicians, pet owners, and staff to ensure clarity and continuity of care. Demonstrate proficiency in veterinary terminology and animal handling techniques to assist with patient restraint and basic animal husbandry tasks. Experience Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter environment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology to facilitate accurate communication and documentation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
