  • Senior Electrical Engineer
  • to support a multidisciplinary engineering organization delivering commercial, institutional, industrial, government, healthcare, higher education, and infrastructure projects.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineering professional who combines strong technical expertise with project leadership, client engagement, and business development capabilities. The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of electrical systems for a wide variety of projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, develop client relationships, and support project pursuits. This role offers the opportunity to mentor engineering professionals, influence project delivery, and contribute to the continued growth of a collaborative engineering organization.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Engineering & Design
  • + Lead the design and analysis of electrical power distribution systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and government facilities.

+ Prepare and review electrical system layouts, specifications, calculations, and construction documents.

+ Interpret technical drawings and coordinate design efforts across multiple disciplines.

+ Develop electrical solutions that comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

+ Support projects involving power distribution, lighting systems, and facility electrical infrastructure.

+ Utilize electrical modeling and analysis software to evaluate system performance and reliability.

+ Coordinate closely with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.

  • Project Management & Leadership
  • + Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives.

+ Lead project teams through planning, design, execution, and delivery phases.

+ Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering work plans.

+ Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and designers.

+ Conduct design reviews and resolve technical challenges throughout project execution.

+ Support interdisciplinary project coordination and collaboration.

  • Business Development & Client Engagement
  • + Develop qualification packages, proposals, and technical presentations.

+ Participate in marketing and business development initiatives.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

+ Attend client meetings and provide consulting expertise throughout project lifecycles.

+ Identify opportunities to support project growth and future business development efforts.

  • Required Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

+ Professional Engineer (PE) license required. + 10 to 15 years of electrical engineering experience.

+ Strong background in consulting engineering and project management.

+ Experience designing electrical systems for industrial, commercial, healthcare, higher education, government, or institutional facilities.

+ Working knowledge of applicable electrical and energy codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, and IECC.

+ Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling and analysis software.

+ Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.

+ Strong project management and team leadership capabilities.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

+ Ability to travel as required.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience with lighting system design.

+ Experience with telecommunications, audiovisual, cybersecurity, and security systems design.

+ Project Management certification or formal project management experience.

+ Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.

+ Established relationships with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

+ Active participation in industry organizations and professional associations.

+ Experience supporting proposal development and business growth initiatives.
