Entry - Mid Level Position Summary We are seeking a mechanically inclined, motivated and dependable Entry-Level Automation Assembler to join our manufacturing and automation team. In this role, you will assist with the mechanical and electrical assembly of automated machinery, production equipment, and related components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in manufacturing, robotics, automation, or skilled trades to develop hands-on technical skills while working alongside experienced assemblers, technicians, and engineers. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to drawings, schematics, work instructions, and specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and basic assembly equipment safely and effectively. Install motors, sensors, actuators, wiring, pneumatic components, brackets, guards, and other automation components. Read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly instructions. Perform basic drilling, tapping, cutting, fastening, and fitting operations as required. Inspect completed assemblies for quality, alignment, fit, and proper operation. Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect components. Assist experienced assemblers and technicians with machine builds, installations, and troubleshooting. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. Document work completed and communicate progress or issues to supervisors and team members. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow written instructions. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Ability to safely lift and move components as required by the position.
Preferred:
Technical school, vocational training, or coursework in manufacturing, mechatronics, electrical, mechanical technology, or a related field. Previous experience with mechanical or electrical assembly. Experience reading mechanical drawings or electrical schematics. Basic knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, or automated systems. Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or tape measures.
