Cargill is seeking a Production Technician II to support safe, efficient food manufacturing at our facility. In this role, you will operate and monitor production equipment, perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, and complete routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. You'll follow strict food safety, sanitation, and quality standards while recording production data and resolving line issues. Working in a team-focused, safety-first environment, you'll contribute to continuous improvement, support shift changeovers, and help drive Cargill's mission of sustainable, reliable food production worldwide. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to meet safety, quality, and output targets Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures and documentation requirements Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and work areas Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage in plant systems Support changeovers, startups, and shutdowns to ensure efficient transitions between runs Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to resolve process issues Participate in safety programs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives Handle raw materials and finished products, including staging, labeling, and transfers Adhere to Cargill's safety, teamwork, and integrity standards in all daily activities Required Skills Production equipment operation Preventive maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Basic electrical troubleshooting Quality control testing Food safety and sanitation Lockout/Tagout procedures Forklift operation Reading technical documentation Data entry and production reporting
