Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in a dynamic, collaborative special education environment. We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher passionate about making a difference in a cluster classroom setting. This full-time position runs from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027, providing vital instruction and support to students with diverse needs. Youll work alongside three dedicated paraprofessionals, leading a classroom of approximately ten students in a center-based program designed for students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The schedule follows a consistent 7:20 am 3:20 pm timetable, offering both structure and predictability.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching license, or eligibility for licensure in Minnesota Experience leading a center-based DCD/ASD classroom Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, engaging learning environment Flexible, compassionate, and collaborativeenjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and support a caseload of 10 elementary students in collaboration with three paraprofessionals Design and implement individualized instruction aligned with students IEPs Utilize evidence-based strategies to address a variety of learning, behavioral, social, and functional needs Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and parent communications Create a safe, supportive, and organized classroom environment This is an onsite position; all instruction occurs in person, providing rich daily interactions.
