Description Seeking four passionate Special Education professionals to join their team for the 20262027 school year running September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027. These full-time contract positions offer 37.5 hours per week across elementary school sites within the district. Open Positions & Locations DAPE Teacher (0.5 FTE): Fair Oaks Elementary Center-Based SPED Teacher (1.0 FTE): Birch Grove Elementary (Requires ASD or DCD endorsement) Resource SPED Teachers (2.0 FTE): Birch Grove Elementary (Accepts ABS, EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsements) Resource SPED Teacher (1.0 FTE): Garden City Elementary (Accepts ABS, EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsements) Position Responsibilities Deliver specialized academic, behavioral, or adaptive physical education instruction tailored to individual student needs and caseload specifications. Write, manage, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring developmental progress and ensuring state compliance. Lead daily classroom routines, establish positive behavior interventions, and foster an inclusive learning environment. Collaborate effectively with school administrators, interdisciplinary team members, and parents to support holistic student development. Required Qualifications Active Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (MN SPED) with appropriate endorsement (ASD, DCD, EBD, ABS, or DAPE). Minimum of 2 years of formal SPED teaching experience (paraprofessional, substitute, or general education experience does not apply). Strong understanding of special education compliance, IEP management, and classroom behavior strategies.
