This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with students in a supportive, engaging environment, helping them enhance their organizational, time management, and study skills essential for academic success. Your role will be pivotal in fostering confidence and independence among students while collaborating with educators and families to create tailored strategies that meet individual needs. Responsibilities Conduct in-person coaching sessions with students to develop executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, prioritization, and self-regulation. Assess each student's unique needs through observations, interviews, and analysis of academic performance data. Collaborate with teachers, academic advisors, and parents to align coaching plans with educational objectives and student progress. Support students in developing confidence through mentoring and individual coaching sessions focused on academic challenges and personal growth. Support neurodiverse students by helping them define, pursue, and achieve their individual goals and give them tools to develop more effective ways to approach learning based on a better understanding of their own brain Develop rapport with clients in middle school, high school, and college Teach effective learning strategies, time management, planning, organization, prioritization, self-advocacy, and habit formation Experience Proven experience working directly with students in an educational setting or as a mentor/coach. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learners effectively. Experience working with individuals facing academic or personal challenges through counseling or mentoring roles. Superior organizational skills Must have a passion for learning Prior experience with neurodiverse populations is a plus Organizational skills required to schedule and manage a busy caseload of students 1+ years in educational or clinical setting working with youth 10 years and older is a plus Available Sundays (9am-5pm) and weekdays (2pm-10pm) is preferred Academic background with the ability to tutor one or more content areas is a plus. These subjects include but are not limited to: English, Critical Reading, Writing, History, a foreign language, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Statistics, Calculus, lower level math.
