Core Fiber Communications is seeking a hardworking, willing‑to‑learn apprentice for full‑time employment. Applicants will be working in construction environments at both aerial and underground job sites during varying shifts — but predominantly night crew shift from 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday . Projects are located throughout the Southern California region but will be based out of the Los Angeles/Inland Empire Area. The probation training period is 180 days at an hourly rate of $20.00 . After successful completion of probation, trainees transition to an apprentice level production pay based on attendance, productivity, quality of work, teamwork, and safety. The apprenticeship program lasts 9-12 months depending on aptitude. Those who successfully complete the apprenticeship program are promoted to Journeyman Technician , earning a higher production rate. Journeyman Technicians typically earn above $50K in the first year , with following years in the $70-80K range , depending on motivation and performance. Initial Duties will include but are not limited to the following tasks: Assisting with the installation of Fiber Optic enclosures, inside and outside networks. Assisting with the installation of Telecom Wireless Network, CATV, and Security cables. Assisting with the installation of Telecommunications Network devices. Fiber splicing and testing equipment and beginner set of hand tools are provided. Must have a good driving record - company vehicles provided.
