Pasadena, CA Pay Range:
$30.00•37.00 per hour Our construction client located in Pasadena is seeking an experienced Certified Payroll Specialist to join their team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, compliant payroll reporting across public works and prevailing wage projects and is ideal for someone with hands-on construction payroll experience. Key Responsibilities Execute weekly certified payroll processing, including uploading documentation and distributing required reports Review, process, and distribute subcontractor certified payroll submissions Organize and maintain certified payroll records and electronic filing systems Serve as a point of contact for prime contractors and subcontractors, responding to certified payroll-related questions and requests Track and monitor incoming emails for contract details and project-specific information Update and manage project tracking spreadsheets to ensure accurate job and payroll data Support the completion of certified payroll start-up documentation for new projects Assist with preparation and submission of union reports and status letters Provide ongoing support with certified payroll report distribution across active projects Perform general administrative tasks including document filing, copying, and record organization Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Certified Payroll Manager Qualifications 2+ years of certified payroll experience in a construction environment Strong knowledge of public works, prevailing wage, and DIR reporting Experience with union payroll and labor compliance reporting preferred Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple active projects Strong communication and organizational skills .
Pay Details:
