Key Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom working with students with severe autism and behavioral needs (PreK12) is required and must be clearly shown on your resume. Must meet or be willing to obtain Pennsylvania paraprofessional certification within 60 days of starting, per state requirements. Comfortable working within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA, with reliable transportation to different school sites and main office as necessary. Ability to implement safety interventions and support students displaying aggressive or self-injurious behaviors. Flexibility to work full-time, MondayFriday, 7:30 AM3:00 PM (Mandatory first week orientation, 8:30 AM4:30 PM). Capable of hands-on support, including toileting, diapering, feeding, and transfers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directly assist students with severe autism in academic tasks, life skills, and social interactions. Implement behavior intervention plans and safety protocols as directed by classroom teachers and therapists. Document daily progress and maintain communication with the classroom team. Support basic needs, including feeding and personal care, in alignment with each students IEP.
