Qualifications and Experience:

Active CNA license and current registration in good standing Previous experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant, ideally within a school, pediatric, or community health setting Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff Strong commitment to confidentiality and respect for student privacy CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations highly desirable Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or urgent health issues

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver prompt, compassionate care to students with acute or chronic health needs Assist with health screenings, medication administration, and first aid as directed by the school nurse or health team Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update health records as required Support the promotion of healthy habits and safe practices through daily interactions and educational initiatives Communicate with teachers, counselors, and families to ensure consistent, informed care for students Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nurses office and follow infection control protocols Working as a contract CNA in a school offers a special opportunity to impact young lives during crucial learning years.
